Personal Escape Mask

Run for your life

Anyone might find himself exposed to a toxic air environment, in any of the following scenarios:

• Smoke in case of fire or explosion.

• Chemical Leakage.

• Chemical or biological terror attack.

Exposure and inhalation of toxic air could severely damage the respiratory system and even cause death.

Such exposure could happen in any place and at any time. Personal escape masks are the solution for your protection.

The Personal escape mask is compact, one unit, with a flexible neck opening which protects the respiratory system and eyes against toxic air and enables immediate donning and quick escape from hazardous areas.

Features

The Maskito Mask is specifically designed to provide immediate protection and quick escape, thanks to a combination of several factors:

Accessibility

Its compactness and light-weight enable to carry it in a personal pouch, thus allowing quick response in emergency. (Weight: 150 - max. 200 gr, Dimension: 19x15x4/2 cm, MaskitoMini fits in an eyeglass case)

Simplicity

The Maskito Escape Mask is made of one unit with a flexible neck opening which fits any head size and enables quick donning without the need for strengthening straps.

Convenience

Sight and speech are not limited, so the user may move around and function as usual.

The mask structure

The mask consists of 4 main units:

  • A rubber hood, that is impenetrable to gases.
  • A panoramic visor.
  • An electrostatic particulate filter.
  • An inhalation/exhalation valve.

The Hood

The hood is made of Polychloroprene Latex and has extraordinary mechanical and thermal features:

  • High tensile strength.
  • High elongation ( up to 8 times its size).
  • Resistance to high temperatures.
  • Fire resistance.

The flexible neck-opening allows easy and quick donning with good neck sealing, thanks to the elasticity of the rubber.

The Visor

The visor is made of a co-polymer film with excellent qualities such as:

High tensile strength and especially high heat resistance, fire-resistance and high transparency.

The Filter

There are two types of filters:

Multi-Layer filter

The Multi-Layer Filter includes the following

  • External polyester screen, fire resistant to the requirements of NFPA 701.
  • Electrostatic particle filter. layers of activated charcoal cloth with impregnation against acid gases.
  • Soft inner pad of non-woven material

CO Filter

  • Electrostatic particle filter.
  • Layers of impregnated activated charcoal cloth.
  • Catalyst.
  • Desiccant.

Breathing Valve

A system combining 2 one-directional valves :

An exhalation valve and an inhalation valve + Mouth piece.
